[Kevas hasn't had a good night's sleep since arriving at the keep. What little sleep he does get is plagued with nightmares of those he left behind. At this point he's all but given up trying to get any decent rest.
He's stuck somewhere between crippling depression and barely contained rage. The troll just doesn't know what to do anymore...except drink. That he's been doing almost nonstop since he found the bar. But even he can't stand to sit around in a bar all day, so he wanders around the keep not really paying any attention to where he's going and not really caring either, and of course he has a bottle of alcohol in his hand.]

He's gotten used to seeing the strange, pale aliens he assumes are human by now, but Kevas is something else altogether. So he stops and watches him for a moment, making sure the drunk creature isn't a threat. Not that anything here has been a threat yet, but there's a first time for everything.*

Sometin' joo be needin' liddle mon?
no subject
I'm not a 'little mon.'
*Whatever the fuck a 'mon' was, anyway.*
Its mostly just humans here.
no subject
[He says it like it's a fact of life.]
So I noticed. Pink-skins be pretty much everywhere liddle mon so joo bettah get used to it.
no subject
*He must be using some other language, because that sure as hell isn't
wtfever trolls speakenglishcommon. He grunts a bit again.*
I'm not surprised. I'm not surprised they managed to break the universe this much either.

[It feels weird having to explain something that's so incredibly simple.]
Oh I don't know. Get some good glue and I be sure everytin' gonna be good as new.
[Kevas isn't sure if they're the ones that caused this whole mess, but right now that's not his concern.]
no subject
You mean a man?
*Just because Sollux gets pissed when people make fun of the way he talks doesn't mean he can't make fun of how other people talk.*
Please tell me you don't actually think that's how it works.
That totally wasn't the wrong journal you saw
Whatevah, it be da same t'ing.
[He takes a sip from his bottle and grins.]
Oh I be sure dey gonna need tape too.
[Sure he might be a pest at the moment but at least it's taking his mind off of being miserable.]
oh fuck, shapeshifters
No. You need plastic building blocks and paint. And frogs.
*He says, completely deadpan.*
no one is safe!
Of course. Dat be da only t'ing dat be makin' sense. Joo bettah tell dem so dey get on it.
*hides*

[Actually it would be more like goblins but that's just a technicality.]

They'd probably insist rightly made universes were wrong because we didn't include their 'artistic vision,' or whatever retarded bullshit no right-thinking species gives a crap about.
no subject
Dey can get all high and mighty, especially dem 'noble' ones.
[In all his years Kevas never met a noble or paladin that he liked. Then again that goes for just about any of the races. All of them have their share of self-righteous asses.]
no subject
Noble is just a code word for 'self-righteous asshole.'
*...except for Fef...*
...mostly.
*He chuckles, quickly moving away from that possibly-question-drawing mumble.*
That's probably a constant across all the universes.
*All of them.*no subject
[Look at those ears Sollux, of course he heard you mumbling. Luckily Kevas isn't the kind of person to pry into a stranger's problems when he doesn't have to. Plus he's too busy dealing with his own depression to help anyone else with theirs.]
I've met mons from more worlds den I can count. Joo be right 'bout dat, trust me.
no subject
Were the non-humans here from other universes where people actually managed to win the game correctly?*
How many?
no subject
How many what?
[There's enough alcohol in his system to knock out a gnome. He's going to be a bit slow.]
no subject
no subject
[Still not getting it.]

no subject
[He's only ever been to three in his whole life, four if you count the Outlands, and only half of them he went to willingly.]
Aftah joo meet so many mons from so many diffrent worlds joo just stop carin'.
no subject
Then how did you meet people from other worlds?
I need a damn edit button
Kevas sighs and takes another sip.]
Same way I be meetin' joo liddle mon. Someone brought me to anoddah world wid a bunch of uddah mons.
i feel you
This has happened before?
*Unless this weird Ogre guy is fucking with him...hn.*
no subject
To me at least.
[And Odette, but Kevas doesn't want this kid bothering her about it.]
no subject
And how to determine if a drunk was just fucking with him, anyway?*
What's your name?
*Finding him later and
stalkingwatching him might help.*no subject
[So much for his distraction. All the memories of his family friends bubble back up to the surface as he thinks more about the Elegante. Clearly Kevas is not drunk enough yet. He'll probably be paying another visit to the bar after this is over.]
no subject
*Sollux shifts the bag from one hand to another.*
Enjoy your slime...or whatever.
no subject
[Kevas turns and leaves without a second thought. He doesn't even bother to ask the little troll's name, not caring nearly enough to do so. He's got liquors to drink and things to forget.]
no subject
Anyone there?
[Sense tells her she should sit quiet and wait, but Vie's tired of waiting. Anxiousness has the better of her. Her hand falls to the hilt of one of her blades, just incase the stranger proves hostile.]
no subject
Vie! I can't believe it. Was startin' to t'ink I was nevah gonna see joo again.
[His pace quickens. The troll is so eager to embrace his sister once again.]
no subject
Vie halts and takes a few steps back, lowering her stance and ready to spring as Kevas approaches.]
Identify yourself, stranger.
no subject
Tell me joo be jokin'. Tell me dis be a bad joke.
[He can't lose Vie. Not when she's standing right in front of him. She's so close. Please don't them take her away from him.]
yep. hell. we're going there.
There is no way Vie would ever forget that face or accent.]
I'm not laughing. How do you know my name?
[There's a harsh edge to her voice. Vie is on alert mode.]
at least we'll be going in class.
Kevas's head rolls back and he just begins to laugh. The sound is completely unhinged. His legs give way and the troll falls to his knees but laughter never stops. Suddenly he smashes the bottle in his hands against the floor. Glass shards cut into his hand and his blood mixes with the alcohol but he doesn't seem to take notice.]
Dis ain't be fair! Aftah everytin' dat happened joo gotta take it away from me! What did I evah do to joo!? Quit jerkin' me around!
[Whoever Kevas is yelling at it doesn't seem to be Vie. In fact Kevas himself doesn't know who he's yelling at, but with his life crumbling down around him he just can't take it anymore.]
/SLIGHT PANG OF GUILT
Jerk you around? Fa'rec, I don't even know who you are. How am I supposed to of jerked you around?
[Vie glares.]
Now stop yelling and answer my question or turn and leave. The choice is yours.
;A;
For his entire life Kevas has only been good at two things: taking care of his family, and killing people. With his family gone, there's only one thing he has left now.]
Whoevah did dis, I'm gonna find dem and when I do I'm gonna kill dem. I'm gonna kill every last one of dem.
[Kevas slowly rises to his feet, and looks Vie in the eyes. There's no anger there, at least not at the moment, just guilt. He's failed her. She might not know but he does.]
Goodbye...
[The troll turns to leave.]
;__;
Wait.
[A small pause. She saw the hurt in his eyes. Her voice is quiet, almost pleading. Vie might not know what's going on but she feels like dirt right now.]
Please, wait. I don't understand any of this. I don't know what's happened, or how you know me and how I don't... One question.
[She takes a deep breath. This is harder than it should be.]
Your name... please?
no subject
He stops and sighs, but he doesn't turn around. Kevas can't handle looking at her right now and he doubts he ever will. When he looks at her now all he feels is pain.]
I be Kevas.
[He almost mentions that he's her brother but decides against it. She already thinks he's a loon.]
no subject
[She repeats the name, voice hushed as she tries to remember that name. Her mind draws a blank.]
You know me then, or someone like me?
[Would it be too much of a coincidence for Vie to resemble someone with the same name? Stranger things have happened...]
From where?
no subject
[He doesn't want to go over that story. Not since the day he accepted his daughter's death has he felt this heartbroken.]
Now if joo excuse me, I just found out dat I lost a sistah. I be needin' to mourn her.
[Kevas locks his sorrow away for the moment. He won't fall apart in front of her again. Once he finds a place to be alone then he can let it out. Whether it be drinking, breaking things, crying, or a combination of the three, Kevas will mourn his loss.]
no subject
When he's gone, she'll lean against the wall and sink to sit in the hallway while she tries to wrap her brain around the events passed.]
I'm sorry.
[It's been a long time since she's meant the words quite so much.]
