25 [Open Commentlog] Backdated to just after his six hours are up

[His six hours are up and Kevas is free to go. Now he just needs one of the staff to release him from his bindings, not that he'll actually be able to move when that's done. All he's got left is one good leg and everything else feels like they've been shattered to pieces. He'll have to cross that bridge when he comes to it though. At least being strapped to this wheel will help keep his bones set. There's always a silver lining somewhere.

While he waits Kevas does his best to fight through the pain. For now he mentally recites the lyrics to every dirty limerick he knows. It's better than thinking about the excruciating pain throughout his limbs.]

[Aht had finally managed to escape Jael's grasp and hopped the fence as soon as she had. She rushed the platform, and didn't stop running until she was directly in front of Kevas. She didn't cry; not because she didn't want to. She couldn't afford to. All of her concentration was going to be needed for this.

She recited quietly the notes for Super Heal in her mind before lifting her flute and playing the melody. It should help Kevas tremendously. Perhaps not heal the bones completely, but enough to make a difference. She hoped.

Aht didn't have time to ask, because she is suddenly unsteady on her feet and collapsing in a tiny heap.]

[Kevas might be somewhat out of it, but not nearly enough to notice one of his little ones charging towards him. What is she even doing here? He told her to stay away from this. Why can't people just listen to him for once?]

Aht? Whatchu be doin'?

[And before he knows it she's casting a spell. Kevas cringes as his bones suddenly begin mending back together again. Nothing like having broken bones snap back into place. They're far from being fully healed but they're much better than they were before. Of course it's hard for him to notice any of that when he sees Aht crumple over.]

Aht!? By da Loa no...

Somebody help her!

[Damn these stupid bindings. There's nothing he can do to help.]

[She's only out for a minute. Her eyes open and it takes a minute for her gain her bearings. She can't really stand just yet, but at least she's awake, albeit a little lethargic.

When her gaze settles on Kevas, she smiles weakly.]

[When she moves Kevas breathes an audible sigh of relief. Of course he's still plenty worried about her and that's obvious even through the smile he gives her.]

Hey dere sweetheart. Whatchu be doin' here?

[Like that's not obvious, although he's wondering why no one stopped her.]

[She manages to sit up, but it's clear standing isn't a good idea right now. This power cap really sucks.]

I had to help you. They stopped me though. I'm sorry I couldn't save you.

[Again Kevas curses the fact that these shackles keep him from helping her. However, even though she healed him, he doubts he can stand right now.]

[She's looking up at him with her big ol' eyes. Of course he was. He had to be.]

[Wow it was hard to look her in the eyes right now.]

[Actually he's completely and utterly guilt ridden for killing Vie. Sure he's not happy with attacking the others but most of his guilt lies with Vie.]

[Then that's all that matters. Aht loves her Dadthing and will always forgive him no matter what.]

[Kevas gives her a weary smile. Oh if things were really that simple their lives would be so much easier.]

No, it ain't, but it will be. I promise joo dat.

[The promise is more to himself really. He won't do this again. He can't. He has a family that needs him. It's time he gets his life in order and get his priorities in order.]

[A little while afterwards, Wolf slinks up and lays down at the base of the torture device, silent and calm. She isn't going to say anything, and she doesn't plan on moving. She'll just lay here quietly, nearby, showing her support in her own weird way.]

[Kevas head hangs low until he here something approach. A staff member to let him out maybe? Nope, it's his little sister and his shame returns to him full force. He doesn't know what he should say to her or even what she thinks of him right now. Kevas can't imagine she's too proud of him at the moment. Some role model he's being.

A moment goes by before he tries to smile at her. It's a very pained expression.]

[Rea's ear flicks at the words, but the wolf makes no immediate move, instead remaining still.

After a few seconds she lifts her head and stares at him, gaze steady, then gives a soft 'aroo' and puts her head back down, tail flopping.

Knowing her as he does, Kevas should realize that her actions mean she isn't about to ditch him anytime soon.]

[For a moment Kevas thinks she's ignoring him. The troll doesn't exactly blame her. After everything he's done he deserves a little cold shoulder. Of course that thought stops the moment she looks at him.

No he supposes she wouldn't go would she. She never left after his breakdown on the Elegante nor did she leave when he told everyone of his past. So why would she leave now?]

[It might not fix the things he's done but at least that's a start.]

[Wolf's ears are up, which means she's listening quite closely to what he's saying.

Her only response is a quiet 'huff' and her tail lifting to wag a few times before dropping, Wolf settling in to wait along with him. She'll be his company once he's finally released from his bonds.]
